referencing checks complete but pre employement checks due?

hey as the topic states, what does that mean? is it not the same? i seen my status changed to ref-ext complete! then i emailed and got reply that your referencing checks are clear and complete and now progressing with your finals pre employment checks?
could anyone highlight on this, the crb checks are referencing checks should be done prior to do work reference! not that im scared im clean just thaught its all done

If the CRB checks come under the reference checks, which I am not sure they do, then the others checks will probably be the legal ones that they have to do, such as that you have a right to be employed in the UK.

thanks @trueblueterrier i missed that possibility out, hope it is ! i suppose i should not worry about anything , its just im getting back to work after a while, been a full time parent and a carer for my only child as wife is working full time ! i have worked in royal mail before temporary but through agency etc so that was different! i just want to get myself sorted as i really need a job security as i believe myself im a real good player work hard earn hard!

pre employment checks as the email reads! no my status reads sec - checks - ext - ref?!

My interview was back in february could you believe takes a whole year , lets say exact month of application was december 2014..when reference check was complete what is this sec check> secondary checks or security checks?! this should have been done before doing the reference checks normally!
