Royal Mail launches website for same day delivery

Royal Mail has launched a new microsite where customers can obtain a quote and book a same day courier service to almost anywhere in the UK.

Royal Mail Sameday is available as a pay-as-you-go service which can be booked online using a credit or debit card without the need for an account. The new online system removes the need for customers to make their bookings over the telephone.

Customers can place a delivery anytime, day or night, seven-days-a-week, 365 days a year, to almost anywhere in the UK. Every package can be monitored from start to finish using real-time GPS tracking, and email or SMS confirmation will be sent as soon as the parcel is delivered.

Rob Grant, head of Sameday, Royal Mail, said, “Our network gives customers the reassurance that their important delivery will get where it needs to be, on-time, every time. When a delivery absolutely has to get there, Royal Mail Sameday is the service that can be trusted.

“We have now extended that trusted service to businesses of all sizes and consumers too. We’ve made booking a Sameday delivery quicker, easier and more accessible so our customers can get our services wherever and whenever they need them.”
