I wonder how many of them have got business use on their car insurance, the ones that don't will be in the s**t if they ever get pulled over by the old bill
business use won't cover them either if carrying mail they will need specialised courier insurance but as by gold foxes previous posts he appears to have a complete disregard for the law and h+s anyway so I wouldn't take too much notice of his posts

Mail left in a frame is not automatically a failure believe it or not, as was pointed out to me on here.
Apparently as long as all reasonable attempts have been made to get the mail out - lapsing, overtime, staff from other offices etc, then it's all ok and well above board.

It is still reported as a failure though, any mail in a walk frame or
ips frame is reported as a walk failure or part failure, anything still in trays is reported as being unprocessed but any mail still left in the office must be reported

What i meant was if the items left on hand in the frame were not reported into the DODR then how would they be classed as a failure?

That's actually breaking Royal Mail policy taking photos without consent. So beware.
Restrictions on photography and filming
Filming or photography on any Royal Mail Group site, or of Royal Mail Group operations,
could jeopardise the security of our business. Therefore employees are not permitted to:
- Record, film or take photographs on Royal Mail Group premises, or in Royal Mail Group vehicles, without the express prior permission of the site manager or person in control
- Film or distribute materials which could harm our commercial reputation, or cause offence to colleagues. This includes uploading photos or footage to social media sites

That booklet Business code is misleading or the Courier is one says no photos the other says take them, that was either March or April Courier this year check it out.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

More than likely the Courier is wrong. Either way taking photos for your own benefit is different than trying to grass up your DOM which would very easily backfire.

https://www.gov.uk/whistleblowing/what- ... stleblower" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Contrary to this 'you cannot take photos at work' line you actually can and have legal protections as a 'whistleblower' providing what you do is for example in the public interest or protects workers from harm:

'You’re protected by law if you report any of the following:

a criminal offence, eg fraud
someone’s health and safety is in danger
risk or actual damage to the environment
a miscarriage of justice
the company is breaking the law, eg doesn’t have the right insurance
you believe someone is covering up wrongdoing'

So if this left mail was not reported to head office OR attempts were not made to have it delivered on the day you can take photos and report it to the Press/MP/councillor/Moya and rest assured RM would be in big trouble if they gave you any trouble for it.

Having said that, if you can report it anonymously it's the better option! :shhhhh

Bang on.

When you pull your back and need to be off paid sick, then you get conducted.

Shrug your shoulders and go home. This happens a lot. An unfortunate, yet inevitable result of the latest incarnation of RM Management strategy.

As long as the sender is aware that if identified, either by accident or investigation, they may imperil their future employment. However, if before they do they research "Whistle blowers" legislation and let themselves be guided by it, then this will mitigate some of the possible damage.

In essence don't do anything without checking things out first.
