We've been streaming work so far,but the DOM is so scared of us cutting off we're taking out naff all.
Gonna take weeks to clear and we're on the vans an all.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

when i got in this morning there was 5 trays of mail under my frame and three on it managed to sort the three in and the packet bag along with the manual sorted letters we had all sorted off, but when i tied up the 5 were still under my frame along with another 2 and a half trays from 2day 1st class, 2nd class, dsa and mailsort all mixed in seems to me that the management have given up and i did try my best for our long suffering customers.

rumour has it in our office they are going to keep posties in to sort the backlog, instead of delivering mail, and bringing in loads of casuals to do the deliveries.but its just a rumour...

cant see royal mail forking out for casuals if theyre too tight to pay for a night shift..

I am in the lucky position (NOT) of being in an office staffed by a majority of strike breakers both in and out of the union and regretably for the cause we have no backlog.

our office has about 8 yorks of unsorted flats, also all what the sorting office has stitched us up with, which is probably about 20 yorks of unsorted mail, which has to be cut and split, also about 10 yorks of packets.

In our office the mail has been sorted but not yet prepped into the frames.

My day off today but when I left monday I still had 9 trays of coded bundles and loads of flats and packets to prep up.
Do our jobs properly and only accept a good deal!

We had our new work plan put up the week before the later starts came in and we are sticking to it like glue. Everything from IPS, Throwing in, Bagging, MR and walking exactly as they wanted and we wont catch up for weeks I think.
