TO: ALL BRANCHES WITH POSTAL MEMBERS



Dear Colleague

ROYAL MAIL DISPUTE – INDUSTRIAL ACTION PROGRAMME

In light of the ongoing PEC discussions the planned industrial action detailed below has been suspended and Royal Mail has been notified accordingly:-

• Network - duties, Scheduled Attendance and overtime commencing at or after 12 noon Wednesday 17th October 2007 and before 12 noon Thursday 18th October 2007.

• MDECs - duties, Scheduled Attendance and overtime commencing at or after 12 noon Thursday 18th October 2007 and before 12 noon Friday 19th October 2007.

• International/HWDC - duties, Scheduled Attendance and overtime commencing at or after 14.00 Thursday 18th October 2007 and before 14.00 Friday 19th October 2007.

Any enquiries on the above should be addressed to the DGS (P) department quoting reference no. 60000.

Should allow them to clear the four day backlog!
So, i guess if the pec reject the deal then we will have to have another four day strike to get us back to where we where after the strike that was supposed to get us back to the postion we were at orginally.
Pick the bones out of that one!

Exactly. So much for keeping the pressure on. The deal cant be that great or it would have been recommended to us to much earlier than this. Once again letting RM off the hook. :d'oh!

SO SURELY THAT MUST CONFIRM THAT THE PEC HAVE ACCEPTED THE OFFER ???
AFTER ALL THEY WOULD`NT SUSPENED STRIKE ACTION TODAY IF THEY WAS`NT GOING TO OK IT ?

So much for we will not stop the strikes till we reach an agreement!
I suppose it depends on your definition of agreement...They might define it as when they have an agreement to put to the pec, others might define it as when the pec recommends it!
If the pec reject it, then we are back to square one with no backlog!
You couldn't make it up!!!

Totally with you on that one.Before we go out in morning DOM shouts out " Anyone want overtime plenty of sorting to be done, when you have finished your duty " Me get back of duty, and they like flies round s**t clearing backlog :mad Think to myself what was the bloody point?

If this proves the case then I fear the srtrikes will not get the backing of previous ones. CWU makes a cock up, we pay for it, CWU makes another gaff, we pay for it, etc.
