Hi I'm new on here :)
I'm just wondering, I have received an email this morning which states I need to complete a P13 form and take it to the delivery office I've applied for. Also my application status on the careers site says "pre-employment checks" is it likely I'm am going to be offered the job, or will they ask all interviewed candidates to do this.
Cheers

Re: Am I likely to be offered the job?
Leeg,
have you checked out Postman's Recruitment Timings post here: http://www.royalmailchat.co.uk/communit ... 56&t=68941
from my understanding of the process (which I'm going through too - at the second week of Pre-employment checks...
),
only candidates who have successfully passed the interview would be at this stage (you should have had an email
saying you've passed the interview stage and which asks you to fill in a 5 year employment/activity history on your candidate profile).
You could be offered a job but it in the first instance it obviously depends on you passing the security checks. Even then
there could be a last minute faff and the post you applied is no longer available - I wouldn't take anything
for granted at this stage and don't hand in your notice (if you're currently employed).
I signed my P13 during the interview - perhaps they just forgot at your interview, but I'd get it signed and
taken to the DO as soon as poss to ensure there are no delays in your job application.
Good luck
YB

Re: Am I likely to be offered the job?
I had the same thing. I know I signed the P13 form at the interview but it doesn't seem to have made it through!
I went into my local office and signed one and they said they would forward it straight on.
I got an email the next day saying I was now in the security check stage - my status changed from "pre-employment checks" to "in progress" - and that,
"The security check process can take up to 14 days; once complete we will be in touch to discuss your start date."
So hopefully, all being well they will offer me a job!
Hopefully, yours will work the same - good luck!!!

Re: Am I likely to be offered the job?
Thanks for the reply.
I had my interview on the 1st of July and hadn't heard anything since then until this morning when I checked my application status and like I say it's changed from interview/assessment to pre-employment check. But also received the email today asking me to take a p13 form in, I could've sworn I signed this at interview but I'll make sure to get it taken over ASAP. So I'm not sure what stage I'm actually at....

Yeah we sound as if we're in the same boat, hopefully it works out well for us both! Good luck with your application :)movingon wrote:I had the same thing. I know I signed the P13 form at the interview but it doesn't seem to have made it through!

Re: Am I likely to be offered the job?
Handed in P13 form yesterday at the office I've applied for. Just received an email saying I've passed the assessment/interview stage and that my security checks will now commence and that I should receive an offer of employment after completing them successfully! :D
My status now reads "Ext - Non-Ref" after completing the security check information, anyone know what this means?
Thanks in advance.
