INTERVIEW TOMORROW

Post by Amyloulou »

Hi, I have my interview tomorrow for a post woman with driving.. I have done some preparation in regards
To the common questions, I.E a time when you have worked
On your own/as a team, tell me about your self, vehicle checks, an example of working on my own initiative, I just need a few heads up on a few More questions and a few simple answers to those questions. So nervous but there is 8 of us going for one job.. Thank you in advance. :arrrghhh

Don't worry you'll be fine as long as you're polite and honest. They ain't fussy these days so don't worry too much.

HI Amyloulou, congrats on your interview. I'm trying to remember what I was asked. One question was tell me about a situation at work where you made recommendations to the management to make improvements and your suggestions were taken on board. Tell me about a situation where a customer made a complaint and how you dealt with it. I was asked the vehicle check question too. I googled interview questions and did loads of research and felt really prepared on the day. I disagree that they are not fussy. If there are 8 people going for one job then you have to stand out! Good luck!

Oh here's another one too. Give me an example of when you experienced a difficult situation at work and how you dealt with it.

Amyloulou,

good luck in the interview, I reviewed what was said in a previous thread here by Mr Whizz and HQ2011 (Thanks guys!):

http://www.royalmailchat.co.uk/communit ... 91#p538366" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

and apart from the bike question, everything in that thread was pretty much included.

Hey it went really well, apparently I blew the socks off both the managers, one of the managers spoke to my mum as she works there.. I was well organised with all my documents and it has now gone down to 4 people for the one job instead of the original 8, unsure why, 2 of us had an interview yesterday and 2 will have an interview today, also the girl from yesterday hadn't had 1 of her documents, so she is going on the waiting list so I'm against 2 others really,, a bit
More hope, but iv got everything crossed. Thank you for asking :thumbup

Hey guys, well I passed my interview and I have the job, I guess it's along as I pass the security checks. The manager at my mums work place where I will be working and was interviewed at told my mum yesterday that I had secured the job and that she should be very proud of me as I did extremely well, the other guys failed on document problems.. I had everything organised in a folder and they were impressed with that. :Applause :thumbup

Thanks guys, just have to do the security checks, will I have to fill out a 5 year employment check?, just because they had my work history on my C.V in front of them at the interview.

Amyloulou,

well done :nana , I'm at the pre-employment checks stage too. Keep an eye on your emails to prompt you to login to youronline candidate profile,
I had to fill in 5 year working/non-working history on there, with no unaccounted gaps! even though they had my CV at the interview.

Well done on the docs organisation, little things like that can make all the difference if there are candidates who are of equal abilities.
