OK - well welcome to rmc. Didn't get a chance to welcome you when you first posted as it seemed you were leaving because of all of us 'whinging whiners'. I'm glad you have decided to come back and discuss your point of view, as we welcome all opinions (as long as they are not offensive).
As regards your post above, I think most of us do like our jobs, but the conditions we have have only been obtained because we have stuck together and fought for them. RM do not give us anything out of the goodness of their hearts.
And although MDECs are not so unionised as most of the rest of RM, the pay and conditions were negotiated with the CWU when they were set up. It is unfair that MDEC staff are paid less than postal staff but any improvement you get from the current negotiations are because the majority of RM employees have been prepared to fight for them.
