Good morning all,
Really hope someone can shed some light on this for me as feeling really quite confused and disappointed.
I have been waiting for a postman/woman position to come up in one of my local DO's for a little while and one in Sevenoaks has appeared (though it is dated 12th June it has only been showing for the last few days) I have done my initial application and within seconds I receive the reply with words to the effect 'Thank you but you do not meet our minimum criteria at the moment'!!??
What on earth does this mean, and any idea what the minimum criteria is? I am a woman, 44 years old, full clean driving licence with all categories, live in the area, physical fit and healthy. I just don't get it!
hope someone can help.
thanks,
Leigh

Re: Initial Application
Hi, I had exactly the same thing!
I applied with 3 different email addresses and was rejected on all three but then I was invited to do the online tests with 2 of my applications! Very strange indeed!
I am female and 47 and am have been offered a position subject to security checks so don't give up hope

Re: Initial Application
Thank you for your reply, yes I did another with my other email and on that one didn't answer the 'personal' questions. But still came back with a negative. How long after you sent your initial application did you the get your on-line questionnaire? I sent my first application Friday and the second about an hour ago. I won't give up hope now thank you, was sooo disappointed lol

Re: Initial Application
Hi there
I had a similar thing. The first time I applied I messed up the tests. Next time I applied I was immediately rejected, just like you said. I thought it was strange as my application was identical to the previous one when I'd got through to the testing stage. When I went on my candidate profile and tried to look at the application to check it was the same as the first one, I couldn't access it. Then I remembered that we'd had a power-cut as I was filling it in! Maybe that was the reason?! As the whole thing is automated wasn't sure what I could do but within a couple of hours there was an ad for another job at a different local office. I applied straight away and was immediately asked to do the tests!
Anyway, the odd thing was that although I had been told I didn't meet requirements for the previous job and on my jobs applied it said unsuccessful, about a week later I got an email asking me to do the on-line tests!!
So all I can say - is hang on in there!!
Good luck

Re: Initial Application
I think I applied on the Monday and was invited to do the tests on the Friday. I was gutted too with the auto-response and thought it was because I was too old, but clearly I'm not. Don't give up hope. Keep us posted!
