I don't know what the current figures are but I remember hearing a couple of years ago there was a 28% pa staff turnover in London delivery offices. All these people who go on about what an easy job it is should apply and see what is really like. I doubt if they would last a month.

Its tough for new starters...theres loads of stuff to remember...it gets easier with time, but loads of people cant get their head round it fast enough so they weigh up the pay vs. hassle ratio, decide the job aint worth it for the money and bail out...

almost happened to me after 3 weeks in but my Mrs. threatened to rip my testees off...6 years later im wondering if joining RM was the worst decision i made in my life...

Mail centres and DC's are full of them , management are no better , it's just a mirrored , perverse, twisted culture in a once proud service . The rot starts at the top , :lfo :cfo are the cancer that affects Royal Fail.
Unfortunately RM have a reputation for making things difficult for people with the DHSS as they'd prefer to command & ignore to protect thier pathetic little empires & systems and keep the s**t under the carpet outside the PO. The DHSS is badly run too , only instead of the two stooges , they've New Lie-bour politicans doing "reform" who've never done a day's work in their lives hence the regimentation and pedantic nonsense.
Don't get me wrong I've total respect for that guy's dignity and principles , problem is the at best :amoral outdated idiots running RM into the ground .
I am convinced there's legalised punishment or people "managed " out . ATOS ORIGIN seem to actively condone it , any possible way of saving EVR or Medical Retirement money . I've hated the job since day 1 ( 3 years ago today). The only reason I stayed was:

1. The guys I work with are the best, funniest bunch of ufckers I've ever had the pleasure to work with.

2. The hours.

Well, the hours are up isht creek but the guys are still the same.

If my zx6r didn't need about 1.5 grand spending on it, I'd be extending my AL indefinately...
