Executive adjourned

The Postal Executive has adjourned tonight (Monday) and will reconvene tomorrow. A further statement will be made tomorrow.

This is a big big deal and the executive will examine it thoroughly before making their recommendation. In the meantime can't we just stop the whinging and wait for the anouncement.

The deal was made over 72 hours ago, it could've been presented to mass meetings at 5am (or 6am) this morning across the country, for that matter Hayes could've signed up for an account and posted it here Friday night. It's very encouraging that people are keeping their heads straight and planning possible responses for when it goes public, otherwise you'd all just be playing catch up and completely at the mercy of HQ for everything.

Maybe the PEC should realise that WE pay their wages, and as such they should remember that WE'RE P*SS-OFF that the agreement was made on FRIDAY and it's going to be at least TUESDAY before we hear their verdict

PEOPLE ARE LOOSING MONEY RESISTING RM EXEC. ACTION ( London, Liverpool & Edinburgh etc. )

WE HAVE WAITED LONG ENOUGH !

We've waited 7 months, been on official industrial action and lost 8 days or so pay, they've now got a deal, sat on it since Friday, spent 5 and half hours going over it, your right this is a BIG deal, and if peeps wanna throw their toys out of the pram, well let them, they've earnt that right!!!

Jackdaw. Considering the announcement was supposedly later today - i presume with CWU/RM side by side; all cosy - we now read talks have been adjourned and the mood is sombre.

Take out of that what you want, but it doesn't sound too shithot to me.

Fair enough, how about giving us 12 hours of talking and deciding on the agreement, and next week, when the ballot papers are sent out, they can go back to 6 hour days.

We should have an open dialogue between the leadership and the rank and file. All negotiations should be reported on a daily basis. On friday we should have been informed what the offer was. Why all the secrecy? Why are we always the last to know? and why are we always left to be kept guessing? It does nothing to instill any confidence in our leadership and could give creedence to the idea that they have a different agenda to ours (because let's face it they certainly have a different wage packet!). So their abject silence can only lead us to presume the worst. The reported pay offer alone is enough to reject the deal let alone any other concessions they may have kindly offered to us.

a problem we have now is the BBC have been "leaked" the fact that we've been offered 6.9% over 2 yrs . . . . . . . whilst we all know this includes ESOS (money we are already owed) and isn't a straightforward rise, the public don't, and support may be difficult to find . . . . .the CWU would have to do a much better job of getting their message out than they have done so far.

pec is not the who need to be sitting on this deal , there not the one's loosing money when we get call out, we are. JUST SHOW US THE F**KING DEAL, we will tell them if it is ok. belive it or not these f**king idiots work for you and me, not the other way around. i need to see this deal to see how i will make it work .

They should have looked at this at the weekend, if chucked out could have dates in place for further rolling strikes from monday 22nd.
