Could not have summed it up better Pants.pants123 wrote:I have no issues at all. But im not one for being abused and exploited now by the business, more work.. yes you can do it.. not being paid your overtime even when its been promised you.... year on year increased work loads... perhaps you like to try a 5 hour delivery every week 4 lots of door to door.. go home exhaused every day.......Tman wrote:Don't know why you would bother trying to explain it. Anyone who could write something like this---
the rich are human life scum,, only thinking of their wealth and not people... its people that make the world go round,, the, "dickhead" so called elite, abuse this.................. its called CAPITALISM or SOCIALISM, but that is another subject.
clearly has deeper issues which wouldn't be "resolved" by entries on a forum.
Share holders. Ive not seen any investment,
Share holders only see money and profit for themselves, so dont try to tell me any different..
Work force becoming smaller. The remaining staff expected to pick up the work.... no improvement in modernising royal mail...
All ive seen since it was privatized is cut backs and more cut backs to the bone...
But you missed the crucial bit: You only have to work 39 hours a week. You are given guidelines on what is expected.
So don't go on about increased workload, 5 hour deliveries etc. What would it matter if you had 3,000 dp's and the delivery span was 10 hours. If you can't do it let the managers prove you wrong.

Re: What the union got wrong about the bonus...
I'm curious, how is someone supposed to "think only of their own wealth" whilst not caring about the future success (or otherwise) of their investments? Seems to me that would be a rapid way to end up not being rich!pants123 wrote:exactly. people make a business successful, the low scum locast, share holders with their millions, dont give a s h it about the future success of a business.. they only think of their OWN wealth... I think North Korea accepts immigrants if you're interested ...pants123 wrote:the rich are human life scum,, only thinking of their wealth and not people... its people that make the world go round,, the, "dickhead" so called elite, abuse this.................. its called CAPITALISM or SOCIALISM, but that is another subject..

Exactly, the share holder looking after their own interest and investment, at the expense of the staff, who are being exploited and beaten to a pulp, for the love of more money,, profit....posties being pushed over the edge, and bullied into impossible work loads.......
That not investing in people is it, it bleeding the work force to death for more profit...
Hope you understand...
Making a comment like,
I think North Korea accepts immigrants if you're interested ...
Is a brain dead thing to say...

I think the paragraph of yours which starts "the rich are human life scum...etc" is more "brain dead" as it's meaningless on at least two different levels.
Class war is just so 1980s y'know...
I'm a share holder and I haven't exploited or beaten anyone to a pulp. Have you Pants?

Re: What the union got wrong about the bonus...
If your a share holder, get down to a delivery office and tell managers, stop taking walks out, making walks bigger, told you have to lapse walks, even when it cannot be done, overtime worked, but not being paid... staff not being replaced, the staff expected to pick up the work, from staff who have left....Tman wrote:I think the paragraph of yours which starts "the rich are human life scum...etc" is more "brain dead" as it's meaningless on at least two different levels.

And try delivering a walk ,that has 890 delivery points on it and take lapsing as well for three weeks, then you will see what is forced onto staff...

Re: What the union got wrong about the bonus...
Then when you as a share holder, tell managers to put walks in, for staff to be given fair and managable work loads, remove lapsing, because it not possible to be done, employ people..... tell managers to treat the staff with respect and dignity and not like dog s h i t....Tman wrote:I think the paragraph of yours which starts "the rich are human life scum...etc" is more "brain dead" as it's meaningless on at least two different levels.

Then you will have a more efficient and productive work force....,
Thank you...

And finally, made profits of £744 for the share holders....
Reward the staff for making this happen by increasing the incentive bonus of a £61 joke amount,,,, to a fair reward to staff for busting their back sides off in hard work...

its still alive and kicking Mr Tman and you know it....
this is from todays Guardian , probably a paper you don't read but it illustrates the fact well :-

here is a quick extract
"The commission examined the recruitment processes at 13 elite law, accountancy and financial companies who between them appoint 45,000 of the best jobs in the country. It found that 70% of jobs offered by those firms in 2014 went to applicants from private or selective schools, even though such schools only educate around 11% of the population ".

Are you not a shareholder Pants ? Re: What the union got wrong about the bonus...
Nope ... You have still completely failed to explain how someone can be totally obsessed with their wealth and at the same time totally uninterested in their wealth. I mean, I suppose it's just about possible but I can't see how it would be a remotely stable state to be in - you'd either end up completely broke, or having to take an interest! Try going away and reading any of the recent "Letters to Shareholders" by Warren Buffett (commonly regarded as the most successful investor who's ever lived), and you find him repeatedly saying he wants to invest in businesses that are not only profitably today but will continue to be profitable for years to come. Screwing the work force over might improve your profits this year, but ultimately your staff leave, you have to pay more to get and retain replacements, your "Quality of Service" collapses, customers leave you in droves and where's your profitability then?pants123 wrote:Exactly, the share holder looking after their own interest and investment, at the expense of the staff, who are being exploited and beaten to a pulp, for the love of more money,, profit....posties being pushed over the edge, and bullied into impossible work loads.......

You also fail to account for the fact that >=10% of the company is owned by the staff, thus presumably mean we're exploiting ourselves? Though from the sounds of things I'm guessing you opted out of the free shares, and presumably out of the company pension scheme since that will also be owning shares?
I'm sorry, I thought you where advocating that the state should own everything and that the workers should be prevented from owning (if they so wished) the means of production? Or in North Korea, owning much of anything it would seem!pants123 wrote:Making a comment like,

Re: What the union got wrong about the bonus...
I will gladly take the £61 bonus - i dont care what managers are getting, but for us, considering our profit margin its no less than what we deserve!!
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.
