questions to ask at interview?

Post by stephaniewakeford »

Hello,
I have an interview on Weds for network/delivery driver and am trying to think of some questions that i could ask at the end of my interview that will show that i have looked into the company itself or that i am up to date with news etc.
I was thinking something about the proposed full privatisation would be good as is current.Something along the lines of asking what they think about it and whether they think it will have any implications for employees?

Any help with this would be really appreciated as i really know very little and dont want to be caught out!
also, any other advice or what to expect would be very welcome

Thanks in advance

The main thing must be to come across as reliable, trustworthy, healthy and enthusiastic. :thumbup
I can't myself think of any obvious useful question, and no question might be better than a contrived one.

I would balance what you say about privatisation with the fact that the Union are opposed to it, but I would be wary about putting your own view forward as though the business have welcomed it, the workforce has fought against it from the start. To be honest its a minefield.

You could ask about how it would affect your job, and as a LGV driver (I am guessing) then that's probably one of the functions that will change more than most. Hope you like the Eddie Stobbart Green  they'll be sniffing around RM somewhere.

To prepare yourself for the interview RM do have standard questions, have you worked in a team, have you worked on your own, have you worked to tight deadlines and within strong rules (tacho, driving hours etc), if you can answer them with confidence and examples you should be okay.
