We'd clear it a damn sight faster if they stopped being so tight with overtime, I guess that's to punish us after the strike but without it the backlog ain't gonna get shifted unless the useless casuals get their hands on it.

Had the most cut offs ever seen in delivery office. 260 bags now left in yorks going nowhere. Management want deal to clear. (NO CHANCE).

Keep up the pressure. Power to the posties! Had unofficial friday (Peterborough delivery office).

Backlog is still were it was , as managers have a "no pressure overtime" rule in place . so it won't be moving anywhere

Hows the backlog at your place

Saturday was horrendous.... Loads worked to their time (well done) and mail left in frames as only half or third of walks completed.... Line managers have no sense, just keep tipping trays of mail in front of you (like thats gonna make you work FASTER..NOT!!) . Mech bundles on yorks to the door this morning and mailsort is piling up in corner of office... Panic button will be pressed very soon!

Our office has never had many cut offs before (plenty now :nana ), the stand in dum is trying to tell me that if you think you wont get round your walk then leave the mail in the frame, what are you meant to do once out and realise you have taken too much i asked, he hasn't got a clue, what is the deal with bringing mail back and could it be classed as wilful delay?

Since the later starts, later finishes, and just working to my time (part time), it does seem to me that the backlog will continue to get bigger and bigger. I feel bad about the "situation", but it's like Royal Mail are expecting us to deliver it with our hands tied!

I feel bad for the public who are waiting for delayed mail.

WHY are management allowing this situation to deteriorate to such a degree????? I can only image they want the ENTIRE mail system to collapse. Perhaps they are trying to prove a point? Or trying to prove something? I really don't know.

It is ONLY possible to do a days work in a day! I can't understand what else they want from us! They are trying to break us....maybe?

mail mounting up everywhere, dom told everyone to leave mail behind in frames as all inward sorting had to be cleared,he also told everyone one there would be no pressure sorting on overtime for strikers,12 to 15 strike breakers have worked last two sundays and from midnight and everyday for two weeks, theyre racking it in while we get f**k all (not that i would do it)but some are struggling and could do with it. we need to employ more posties for walks with no on on them for last 3 months.preesures mounting, i think its starting to turn nasty or going to. :nana :cfo

Just got home from doing a collection and droped it off at our mail centre. They did not have enough yorks for the collections to go on. There were packet bags, there was PPI bags, there were meter bags and there was parcels all growing bigger in a heap on the bank floor. Would'nt want to sort that lot out.
Still, and you can call me cynical, there were plenty of agency bods walking round scratching there heads with that well worn look on their faces crying out "were the f**k are we" and they say there is no money left in the pot. Perhaps thats where Dozier gets his underworked and overpaid impression from. :funneh :lfo :cfo

At our d/o, we arrive, pick up the pre-sorted bundles, and then proceed to sort........... slowly, then it's break time and out.

Had almost no flats today - none sorted. I counted approx 12 yorks of flats alone - then i lost count of letters! :funneh
