Do we get paid bank holidays, read over my contract but can't decipher it ?

Yes. You'll be paid the basic wage for that day if you were due to work. If you weren't due then you'll get a day off in lieu. You can be paid overtime instead of the lieu day but it depends on the competency/slyness of your manager and how on the ball your rep is.
