just wondering i stopped getting paid on 10th of may(been off over 12 months now) and have now started the ball rolling for ill health retirement,not something i'd want in an ideal world i'm only 44 but such is life.
question is if i take ill health retirement can i cash in my contribution plan obvious;y i've no wage now wife and 2 kids to support and realeasing it would help immensly.
has anyone tried?? rang zurich and woman just told me " i dunno its up to the trustees ask when you've had ilh"

The simple answer to your question is no.
The earliest you can normally access a defined contribution pension scheme is at 55, unless you have terminal illness with only a short time to go.

Have you contacted tax credits with regards to i'm guessing your reduced income you will be getting now ie half pay/ssp/sick pay at pension rate ect
