Timescale for a Yes or No?

Post by leejay26 »

Hi there.
Just looking for a bit of advice regarding an interview I had for a Postperson With Driving position.
Interview will be three weeks ago tomorrow and my candidate profile status still reads Interview/Assessment.
Any thoughts would be welcomed.
cheers

I went for an interview just 3 days ago for postman with driving duties. It seemed to go very well and the guy told me I'd receive an email within 7-10 days. Maybe it's different for different locations, I don't know. Regarding the background check they do if you're successful....the only thing on my record is a DUI from 2013 which resulted in a 9 month ban (Please don't pass judgment on this folks, I know it was wrong and I deserved everything I got). It was actually a 12 month ban reduced to 9 if I attended the rehabilitation course, which I did. I told them this at the interview and the guy said it shouldn't be a problem. I showed them a background check I got for my most recent employer. It was dated from last year. Is it possible this may be acceptable if I'm offered the job or will they need to do a new application themselves? Has anyone else had similar experience?

They will probably do their own checks anyway. The system is like a glacier and is very hard to do things differently for different applicants. Therefore it will just proceed along the usual process ignoring any outside factors that its not set up to cope with.

Good luck, hopefully being honest will help you get the job.

Hi, I was informed that I was successful 3 weeks after attending the interview. Good luck to all those at the waiting stage.
