Thailand Post officials in Chanthaburi’s Pong Nam Ron district have fired a postman who piled up mail at his house instead of delivering it.

The postman's secret was revealed on Facebook viral-video page YouLike by Watchareeporn YuiDy Saksawat, who posted images of undelivered letters and parcels in the carrier's home.

The woman said she had sent a parcel to her uncle in Pong Nam Ron since April 27 and the tracking indicated that the mail arrived the destination post office April 28. But the package had not been delivered as of Wednesday.

Therefore, the woman asked her uncle to look for the mail carrier at his house on Thursday and there he found his package, along with piles of letters awaiting delivery.

She then shared the information online, inciting comments from other Facebook members commiserating about their experience with slow delivery, even when they paid for express service.

Some sympathised with the carrier, justifying his action by saying his job was hard work.

According to Daily News Online, the Pong Nam Rong post office's chief said the photo on Facebook was taken at the house of a postman who had worked only a short time.

The carrier claimed he couldn't deliver the mails because his motorcycle had been stolen, so he had left to track it down in other province.

However, the post office terminated him due for dereliction of duty and causing problems to customers. The office said it will get the delayed letters and parcels delivered within a week.

Looks like that is his sorting bench inside his home. He has wide parcel slots above the bench and a walk number chart on his wall.

To be fair to the guy if my frame was next to my bed I'd probably roll over and say f**k it more mornings that not.
