revision time again

We are currently undergoing a office revision and was looking for some advice as to the full time to part time ratio on a duty re pick ?

What do you need to know? Top person on seniority picks first then rest follow. Possible few walks ring fenced for people under the equalities act and that's about it. Obviously you'll need a certain amount of full time leave reserves so when you get to that amount of full timers left they'll all pick up the leave reserve jobs. It's a simple process really made difficult by some.

Sorry didn't put the question right I meant if there are say about 40 delivery duties 6 HCT & 17 van shares( 34 duties ) how many should be kept back for part time duties ?

Well how many part timers have you got now and how many duties have been revised as part time duties. The revision is based on the number of hours required to run your office across the disciplines.

Sorry but its an an unanswerable question as it would depend on loads of things not just numbers of duties. It would depend how many hours in the office, what the ratio is between indoor and outdoor. What the types and length of individual duties are. How long it takes to get to the duties etc.

Even if you could provide all those details, it still wouldn't help as 100 indoor hours can be split between different numbers of duties and also don't forget even all of the duties were part time, you'd still have people on different contracts some doing 20, 25 or 30.

If the outdoor element is equal on all duties then technically none. The indoor element would then need to be planned around what ever duties a pt member of staff picked. but that is far too complicated for some DOMs and they simply keep x amount depending on office make up for pt staff usually around or at least the same number of reserves. then people end up being bumped to reserve even though they are senior to some pt staff
