MIDDLE MANAGEMENT B.S. ABOUT AMAZON AND R.M.

Post by billyhayes »

Could someone enlighten us whether or not RM have lost any further contracts with Amazon, not including the second class returns contract (i think) that was announced a few months back.

Our manager told us that someone... ('higher than them', i use the term loosely) said that all deals are off.

Now, this 'other' party is a known bullshitter/liar etc etc so it would be good to be able to correct the phuckwit :funneh

by the way has anyone managed to do a couple of these :cfo :lfo for alan cook and ronnie flynn yet?

If Amazon have chucked the contract out how come they (Amazon) are converting the old microlink building that also connects via the rear of the building to Swansea MC???

Not all the Amazon contracts are with RM, but some of them are, I believe.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Thats what I thought. This nobber at our office is telling everyone that RM have lost ALL amazon contracts, period.

I think he's just whipping people up, which is a very dangerous game to play methinks :dance

We still do the 1st class Amazon.

You will find that the companies use the couriers when they are pissed off with RM but when they get fud up paying the stupid prices they come back to us.

Our overall delivery market share has increased recently prior to the strikes but will probably suffer in the short term future and RM will no doubt have the propaganda machine out about competition again so be prepared.

I delivered a 2nd class Amazon packet on Wednesday, strange thing was it has TNT labels all over it. Got back to the office and found that most guys had left lots of packets having been told to clear as much mail as possible (HA bloody HA) and their packets were still there Saturday. Wish I'd left that Amazon one, TNT and Amazon can ........ Well you know the rest :cfo

I sorted several RM Amazon packets the other day. Second class as I recall. I think they were books not CDs.

have you noticed any of the TNT amazons with yellow TNT lables added? this is after they have 'attempted' delivery and then its goes into the RM system.
seems strange they would attempt delivery then pay RM?or does it show how cheap DSA is that its still cheaper for them
