Thieves target Royal Mail trolleys : Dunstable

Police are appealing for information after Royal Mail trolleys were targeted by thieves in Dunstable.

The first reported incident happened on Tuesday (28 April) in Princes Street, Dunstable,between 11am and 11.30am. The postal worker locked her mail trolley shut and chained it to a lamppost while she delivered post.

While she was gone someone broke the lock and stole the trolley. It was later recovered but all of its contents had been stolen.

Between 11am and 12pm on Thursday (30 April) two more Royal Mail trolleys were targeted. One was locked in Chiltern Road and another in West Street. Unsuccessful attempts were made to break into and steal both trolleys.

why it clearly says between times not that she left hct for half an hour or hour and it was locked to a lamppost.

that's why I cannot see her losing her job

She should have been able to narrow the time frame down more than 30mins, she should know the time she left the HCT (by either the PDA clock or her own watch/mobile), to know when she needs to be attending the HCT again to comply with the 10min rule.

Don't get me wrong, I don't want her to lose her job, all I'm saying is there is the ammo there if managers want a target on her back.

Maybe she doesn't have a mobile or watch,and the pda's are always on the blink,I've seen trolleys left for ages,

But she's certain it was Tuesday 28 April and in Princes Street so maybe the police will be able to check CCTV.
