COURIER firm Hermes has lost so many parcels in Knowle it is having an effect on local business, according to a sales rep.
The couriers have managed to misplace 18 parcels in just a few weeks, worth nearly £4,000.
They were due for delivery to a number of small businesses, which are rapidly losing revenue.
Sales rep Carley Robson lives on Novers Park Road and was expecting 12 of the parcels from America to support her business, but none of them have arrived at her home.
The 27-year-old criticised Hermes, which she said had repeatedly failed to tell her where her parcels have gone.
The 12 parcels full of make-up disappeared over a six-week period, since Carley moved home on March 7.
Before the move, she had been living at an address in nearby Bedminster.
Carley works for Younique, an American make-up company, as a sales rep, and sells the company's goods on to local people in Bristol.
The confusion over the lost make-up has lead to loss of income for Carly, as well as added stress for both her and her customers.
She said: "Before I moved I never had any problems. It's so confusing.
"I have only been in my new house for a few weeks but all the parcels have gone missing, Hermes can't seem to get them to me.
"It is having a severe impact on my business. I can't get goods to customers so they are not placing new sales because they are worried about receiving the goods. And I have had to offer people discounts on their next orders because of the delays.
"The make up is high-end products, so it all adds up to a lot of money. It's really worrying for me."
Carly said she had been virtually unable to get through to speak to someone at Hermes, and so had to repeatedly go back to Younique and request that new parcels were sent out to her.
She also said she knew of three other women living in Knowle with six missing parcels between them.
Customers with Hermes are able to track their parcels online, and Carly said the status of hers kept changing from "out for delivery" to "awaiting courier receipt", but then never turned up.
She said: "They are definitely getting to Bristol because it says they are out for delivery and they are at the depot. But it is a problem with the couriers. They never get to me."
"I am having to resend things to my mum's address in North Somerset, where things turn up.
She said: "I have been working for Younique since November and didn't have a problem.
"Hermes must know who the courier for each parcel because of the tracking numbers. It is just such a frustrating situation for me to be in and they are not listening to me."
Younique have now arranged for Carley's parcels to be sent via a different courier firm.
No one at Hermes was available to comment.
