Hello fellow posties - im currently at kettering delivery office and have been there for 8 years.
Im on a par time 30 hour contract 6 hours a day monday to sat to fit in with my family .
We are being told the new delivery structure will be in within the next 2 months meaning
longer hours and very few part time jobs available.
has anyone out there gone through these changes and ended up with a contract with less or more hours
than they wanted. i have applied for family friendly rights but iam low down on the seniority list. What rights have we got
and can we take decisions to appeal if we end up with a nightshift job or something else shitty?
Any advice please?
cheers Mutley

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Extract from the Agenda for Growth & Stability Agreement,
LEGALLY BINDING UNDERTAKINGS FROM EMPLOYER TO CWU
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
2.7.2 Full time employees will remain full time unless they volunteer to move to part time hours.
PART TIME EMPLOYEES WILL BE ENTITLED TO RETAIN THEIR EXISTING CONRACTUAL HOURS IF THEY WISH.
