Re: d2d prep time
I suspect many OPGs deliver a lot of D2D as charity bags i.e. they prep they on unpaid overtime, coming in early or staying behind, outside contract hours!chrisj wrote:I have never done any Charity bags!

Re: d2d prep time
also it is far more time consuming trying to throw your mail in when you have 6 sets of D2Ds crammed in a frame. if its double slots then theres 240 items in each row of the column. you have to pull the D2Ds to one side just to look see where the slot divider is. and if its a heavy day, its very time consuming. nesting any day for me. and the DOM couldn't care less.Hitcher wrote:But what if there's a miss-sort inside the nest?daveyeff wrote:if you don't nest them then you lose time outdoors by filtering through 12 lots of D2Ds at each door and looking for mail as well. so the time is still there. you don't save.
I just keep all the mail to one side of the D2D's - no time lost.

Re: d2d prep time
charity bags we have quite often and they are a right pain to hold on to as they slide about and you try putting them in a double slot , best thing is to chuck them in your trolley and take them out at every house

Re: d2d prep time
Don't nest d2ds, if the DOM gets a bollocking from higher up about items being nested, they'll deny having given permission for you to nest and will give you a bollocking
