Stop nit picking. Try and find a little common sense please!motherhubbard wrote:Where does it say that?islipaway wrote:
The reason not to do it is because prepping them is half of what you're paid for.
I have just had a quick glance at the agreement and it states:
All existing local payments covering the delivery of election material as stated in
paragraph 2 above will remain in place, and in accordance with this agreement, with
the following exceptions.
1. The minimum payment for delivering election material will be 3p per item.
2. The maximum payment for delivering election material will be 6.6p per item.
Nowhere that I can see does it mention a payment for prep.
If there is a payment for prepping election material what happens if you don't prep it?
Unaddressed election material can simply be delivered by the bundle as you go along. Would you only get half the payment for not pepping it?
Or are some people making stuff up as they go along?
(Look - not a swear word in sight so no need for any issuing of board warnings though I trust those that resort to the "you must be a manager" line get the same)

How is it nit picking?Judgee wrote:

If someone states the payment is for delivery and prep, aren't I entitled to ask where it states that?
If you've got a copy of an agreement that states that then provide a link please.
Is it only common sense if it is in agreement with what you think?

Re: Prepping another walk's election material?
It doesn't say in anyone's contract that in order to deliver you must put one foot in front of the other either does it????
Delivery is a two step process as I am sure you are aware. You prep then you deliver that is the way it is and the way it has always been, whatever you are delivering. Payment for the delivering of election materials is obviously for the prep and delivery as they are all part of the same process. Or do you just throw all your mail into a sack and pick one letter out at a time, wandering around in circles until it gets dark?

Yet you still cannot provide a link to the agreement/any agreement that backs up your assertion ........Judgee wrote: Payment for the delivering of election materials is obviously for the prep and delivery
An as I stated, some material (unaddressed) doesn't need to be prepped. So would you only be entitled to half payment?
It is vey easy to throw around words like "obvious" and "common sense" yet you have to have something to back up your words.
You have nothing.
Adding multiple question marks and emoticons is no substitute for hard facts.

If it doesn't need to be prepped there isn't a problem is there? The original poster didn't say "oh I've been asked to put a bundle of election material in someone's bag for them" did he?
The extra question marks are down to exasperation. You win, you are a genius and clearly there is no beating you in an argument!
You have inspired me and I am now going to spend some time looking for documents that will tell me how to get dressed in the morning and how to wipe my butt.... do you think they exist too?
