Toilet breaks/stops

Post by POSTMAN »

Ok,strange question, but one that really grates me.
Our SDD was rushed through, basically we only lost a walk, all of our walks were screwed for years since we moved offices anyway.
Seems the Rep at the time done no negotiations for the walks to be tested ect.....
Anyways,we didn't need to do much reorganisation but again the walks weren't tested/looked at in anyway(no facilities apparently  )
Promised pouch boxes took 2-1/2 years, and basically the whole thing was a joke.

Although mentioned nothing was done about toilet stops,i do 5 walks a week and not one of them have a designated place where i can go.
And as far as i'm aware all of the other walks in my office are the same.
So everyday i break the law in............well you know.
At times depending where i am on a walk it's murder, and i've come close before to........

What's the score with you guys are all your's sorted or are you the same as me.

the official answer is ring your line manager who has to fetch you return to the office and then drop you back off again

The best bag drop point is a nursing or residential home. Clean toilets and sexy nurses. An area where you can smoke, and the kind offer of a cuppa on a cold day. And a bacon sarnie if the friendly kitchen woman is on.

It's hard enough getting someone out when your tyres go flat, or the driver's gone awol with your last bag!

I have a similar round.

I don't want to draw pictures or embarras myself, but since we went to Single Day Delivery, and my round got larger, I have at times....... well, let's just say I nipped home to have a shower and a change of clothes. Now, my round does include a vets and MOT test centre, where I can ((safety of pouches not included, looks dodgy if you take your bag in the loo, if you leave it out mid-round, too risky))
Not nice. What will happen when they extend rounds

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Okay, I thought about this post, and I am prepared to be embarrasd.

Too much information, yes. Embarrased, yeah

Thing is, if deliverys get longer and longer, what are posties suppposed to do?
We are all human, and we will all need "to go" at some point.

The longer rounds get..... human nature and all that.... it's an important issue.

Wot i suggest 2 any postman/woman is 2 dump in your own time and not waste RM's How dare You relieve yourselfs!!!! Are you not aware WE , RM are under pressure from competition ?? Im sure TNT. Krautpost. and the rest dont Stop 2 lay a log!! This will be brought up in the Next A.G.M. Senior management will not tolerate this kind of behavour. :no no So if you posties want 2 have your £ Stopped 4 your pitstops then apply a month in hand before you want 2 pass a packet... (only if weight restrictions allow) Then and only then can you knock one out...

I hope this clears up any misunderstanding that has arisen from this issue.. Thank you and happy posting..

The big cheese, Big AL..

Sorry to resurect and old thread but I found this picture of a toilet block the REME built for us in Croatia during the war. The black bits are usually buried. There was actaully a bloke in one of the stalls when it popped up.
