Re: Tracked item frenzy
Its started again, Managers awaiting Posties at the doors to check how many tracked items they have brought back
Unfortunately, i had brought 2 back today. Why?
- One needed a signature. It is all well getting tracks offloaded to all and sundry but surely they needed signing for a reason. And Im sure the sender would rather ensure their goods are signed for by the intended recipient - not someone 3 doors away? This customer had one of the Royal Mail 'please send all items back to the office' stickers on their letterbox anyway.
- The other tracked item even stated in bold and highlighted yellow please do not leave with neighbours
I might also add that with the lapsing that we have to do which often takes us back to the office over our time, could mean that we don't have time to knock on everybody's door just to get rid of these parcels...In which case, if managers are after hitting their quality targets then they should give us the quality time on delivery rather than focussing on the quantity of mechanised mail and lapsed duties....nuff said

On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

You shouldn't be doing that, what is your rep doing about it.supersonic wrote:We scan all undelivered tracked as safeplace (except for signed) . Well the callers office is safe tbf, cos that's where they end up.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

You don't have to give your name just your office location and your managers name,it shouldn't be going on.

Re: Tracked item frenzy
With this "Tell Moya E-Mail" surely any E-Mails will be tracked to your Account?
I'm not particularly bothered but surely this might leave yourself open to some B&H ?

Re: Tracked item frenzy
Just a few 'issues'
1) If you don't scan a Tracked item at the doorstep it can be traced back since part of the system generates GPS locater (via the phone signal)
2) If Items are not scanned back into your Unit (via the indoor process) and allocated to Caller's Office then it is entirely possible that the Delivery OPG could, in theory still be held responsible if the 'second' attempt doesn't take place and the item is 'somewhere' in the system.
3)From memory fairly certain there was a mandatory instruction only a few months ago to only use 'Safeplace' as laid out in the Instruction on the item since Customers who log on will then go looking for the item in said safeplace and it gets worse when there is no such instruction therefore generating call to Customer Services.
