Bit quiet on hear about the transfer of POMC mail to SOMC. How are you scummers getting on? Think you start to get IOW mail on Wed.

So have you noticed the IOW mail stop arriving at PO?

Other than the last 7.5 tonner all hovercraft IOW mail goes to SOMC. I think as from Wednesday all IOW mail will be going to SOMC. Chi and Bognor will follow soon, then all mail collected in Pompey. Not sure where that will leave us - not getting much info from union or management, only rumours.

Just means they need a few more loading bays

Which means fairly major work - no planning permission yet and the "migration" to be complete next month.

Truth of the matter is that one docking bay is not enough for POMC HGVs. Should be pretty chiotic when 8 or 9 of our 7.5 tonners turn up in the morning, all needing to be away for 6am for the rural runs It's bad enough now!!!

Pompey Boy how many Portsmouth staff have expressed a preference to move to SOMC on a shift by shift basis.

Not sure of the numbers (not one of my strengths), but will ask around. Some processing people have already gone, with others going when the final Pompey mail goes. Don't know when this will be as it keeps being put back. Other people have gone to our rural offices, such as Waterlooville etc. Nightshift are staying until next year.
