Hi there,
I have never really had time off before for being sick and the odd day that i have had off ive used my holidays to cover it. Whilst i understand that if i have been with RM for over a year i will get full sick pay and allowances does that mean that if i have 4 days off or 14days off for being sick they will pay me? i dont understand sick pay and was hoping someone could shed some light as i am not feeling like going back to work on monday and i have already had 2 days off sick and dont want to keep using my holidays
cheers

Once you have done a year you get full sick pay according to your contract hours.
Its not 4 days or 14 days. Its 4 absences of any length, or a total of 14 days absent in ANY 12 month rolling period, the trigger being whatever comes first. For instance 4 1 day absences will start the attendance procedure but 1 four day absence won't.
They can only stop sick pay by writing to you before they do cease paying it, and they can only do so in certain circumstances.
Best advice is to read up on the attendance procedure 2012 - its in the downloads section of the Union Room.
