The inconvenience of a missed online delivery could soon be over for Harrogate households thanks to the Internet Post Box Company which has just appointed its first installation franchise in the Harrogate area.

Yorkshire-based, the Internet Post Box Company is making missed deliveries a thing of the past. Its Internet Post Box is a secure, robust and discreet wall mounted box with a combination lock. It was developed to store parcels securely and to allow them to be delivered first time, every time.

Engineer and local man Chris Spink has been appointed to service the Harrogate and district area.

Chris said: “I am delighted to be appointed as the first installation franchise in Harrogate. I believe this product is revolutionising the way people take deliveries from shopping online. It offers a more convenient option for both the customer and the courier – making deliveries successful first time, every time. It does for parcels what letter boxes do for letters.

“Arranging a delivery to the Internet Post Box couldn’t be easier. Simply add your unique lock code to the first line of your address when ordering. The courier then uses this to open the combination lock and make the delivery.

“Although the post box is self-assembly, an installation service is available for customers to use when they don’t have the time, skills or equipment to fit their own Internet Post Boxes - in the Harrogate area, that’s me!.“

Measuring 545mm high, 400mm wide and 540mm deep, the Internet Post Box is available in a dark green and light grey. It is large enough to take most parcels, a case of wine or grocery shopping.

More than £44.97 billion was spent online in 2014, yet deliveries still remain a huge problem. Research shows that 60% of online shoppers reported problems* in 2014.

There needs to be a dedicated network of parcel locker shops that are open 24/7 monitored by CCTV within close proximity <2 miles to most of the population.

Sorry but most people are too busy or just too lazy to go to a central point, they want it delivered to their front door, and that's too much for some of them, once delivered a packet to someone who could have used click and collect, but chose to pay £4.95 to have it delivered to the door, you could see the branch of the shop it would been delivered to from the front door.if people won't walk 50 steps, they ain't going to go upto 2 miles.
