It would trigger strike action in our office and no doubt everywhere else.

No sense at all to this.

In the topic that was linked by TBT It mentions a trial in Warrington, do we know how this is progressing?

If we get the chance to question the union and royal mail top dogs demand return of earlier finish on Saturdays. There is no need to work after 12.15

So if your mail/parcels don't arrive in the office till 8 and say for arguments sake you are ready for delivery at 10 (optimistic i think) you are then going to be able to complete by 12 15?

Royal Mail would love to cut some more hours out

Royal Mail have got the 'normal working day' they always wanted and they're not going to go back on that.
We need to maintain Sunday as a day of rest if we can.

Cant see industrial action actually happening, the union is weak nowadays and will probably bail on us at the last second, the majority of members will probably vote in favour of it even if they dont want it just like in the last agreement.

The later our contract hours end, I suspect the fewer of us will be willing to go over. RM will base their 2015 "super savings" on current willingness of some OPGs to cover the extra workload and it will go horribly wrong when contract hours finish at 4pm.

Five of our fourteen teams finish at four already since the last revision, even on a Saturday. Just maybe this would make them stick to their hours.
