Hi there I am the RM Manager that went through hell because of the spineless approach of Royal Mail Management. I won at the tribunal but RM has not yet acknowledged this in the workplace so all employees think that I was culpable.
I am in the process of writing my blog which contains damning evidence against some very senior managers at HWDC. I'm just wondering how many of you would be interested in reading it.

Very very interested.
If there is a word that means more than very very very interested then that is the word I should be using.
I am literally salivating and foaming at the mouth in anticipation.
I am your biggest fan already.

A word of caution though.
Bringing Royal mail into disrepute could get you the sack.
I am not sure about whistleblower protection but you need to thoroughly understand what the risks are to yourself in writing about this subject.

Perhaps you could post the tribunal results or at least the tribunal case number so we can request a copy ourselves.
Tribunal results are in the public domain.
Once your anger has subsided maybe you should have a good long think about the possible consequences to yourself of spilling the beans.
Or maybe start again and write in the third person, EG invent a character and tell the story via that character.

What do other people think about this?
I mean after all, we must protect our sources of information right?
We must all protect ourselves and each other.

Well the Boss that was involved in the Somali case was sacked.

So if there is a connection with this poster I sure would love to know what it is.

Maybe this is the Boss that was sacked and if no longer a Royal mail employee he can write what he likes.
Maybe he wants to clear his name, even though he no longer works at HWDC he wants the truth to be out there because his
reputation is at stake within the community.

Incidentally branch commented about the Somali case and said that the CWU did not represent this woman at tribunal because the case did not meet
the unions criteria. By not meeting the unions criteria I presume that the union felt the case had a less than 50% chance of success.

As I recall this is the unions guiding principle, if they think a case has more than 50% chance of success they will repesent at tribunal,
if they think a case has less than 50% chance of success they will not.

Additionally I think that maybe there are too many maybe's in this thread, or maybe not.

Right some more information has surfaced regarding our Somali colleague.

Apparently she lost the case at tribunal but still works at the building so she took the case to court whilst still an employee.
I should imagine she will feel very uncomfortable at work because what I have heard from certain members of the Somali community is that they
are not happy with her in that she has now made all their lives more difficult and generally made people trust them as a community less.
But now it gets very interesting.

The manager who was sacked ( I think he was an acting manager at the time) was re-instated just before the case went to court or so I have been told (I assume what I was
told is the truth but you never know).

The manager was re-instated so he could give evidence against the Somali girl and be a representative of Royal mail so basically he was offered a deal
of "we will give you your job back as long as you testify on our side in court", obviously he accepted the terms and conditions.
Apparently he is a manager somewhere within Royal mail but not at his old building.

So there you go, a long and convoluted episode that ends in pretty much the same position as when it started IE everyone still has a job
and nothing has really changed at all.

One more thing I would like to say about HWDC, there are just so many managers there, they are literally coming out the walls.
There are hundreds of them (including world class mail managers), I hate to think what the final bill for them all is.

Oh He has not left the business. He was re-instated. The appeal found that he had been dismissed unfairly.
incidentally he only ever asked staff to notify him if they were leaving the floor to go and pray. sounds perfectly reasonable.

So I have heard RM offered the manager his job back so he could testify against the Somali girl at tribunal and yet mismanaged has stated that the manager won his job back at tribunal.
Somewhere in this lies the truth.

Fact is RM very rarely or never re-instate people.
If the person wins at tribunal and beats RM what the company usually does is pay a bit of compensation and that's the end of it.
It is very very rare that anyone is re-instated.
There is more to this story than meets the eye.

But then every story on RMC there is more told than not. To be fair we have to take what people say at face value and with a pinch of salt on here and as long as everyone does that we shouldn't have too many problems.

A raging mind does not see sense or caution.
I will reflect before I take my next steps and yes you are right I don't want to do something that cant be undone later. I've been in enough hot water to last me a lifetime.
Now that I have managed to right some of the wrongs by winning the Tribunal, Getting re-instated, I am now in the process of holding to account those that were responsible for certain unethical and corrupt actions. Luckily I have had evidence against all the parties that will be brought to account.
I do have a lot on my plate right now but once I have got past these tribulations I will put my words down for all to see.

The Manager was recruited from a Commercial background and substansive - a Professional catch, one that had been trained to Manage.
