Nigel Lovell, 40, and his wife Jane, 36, were stunned to discover the 'special delivery', alongside the dirtied "sorry you weren't in" card.
Yodel have sacked the driver, whose actions are yet to be explained.
Courier bosses ordered local staff to clean the area and sent an apology to the couple via email.
Nigel, from Waltham Forest, East London, said: “They may not have delivered the parcel, but they delivered something a lot more disgusting.”
The package delivery company has not had a good history, either, having been voted the worst delivery service in the UK for the last two years in a row by customers.
However, due to their low prices, Yodel continue to work with huge companies like Amazon, Littlewoods, Mothercare and Tesco.
Dick Stead, executive chairman of Yodel, said, “We are absolutely disgusted by this incident and have apologised to Mr Lovell for the distress caused.
He added: "Local staff attended Mr Lovell’s property to clean the area. This is an unacceptable and isolated incident and does not reflect on the standards of the rest of our workforce.”

As an ex windscreen fitter, I've pooped in a lot of customers toilets over the years, but never on their lawn! However I do know of a fitter that was caught on CCTV taking a dump in the bushes at a Honda main dealership, whilst doing a job in their carpark
I also know a now ex-fitter, who was discovered by his customers swimming in their pool! He'd arrived to do their car, they weren't in. Since it was a hot day, he decided to strip off and take a dip in their back garden pool, only for them to return home and discover him! He was sacked....
