9.6% the lass said is on offer, do you think she got her numbers the wrong way round? 6.9% was the last offical figure.

Divide and Rule the Romans were doing it ages ago!anini wrote:IF WHATS BEING SAID IS TRUE THEN THIS WILL CREATE A MULTI-TIER WORK FORCE.
ONLY THE BIG MAIL CENTRES WILL BE ALBE TO NEGOTIATE A GOOD DEAL BECAUSE OF THEIR SIZE
Remember, the way you do you job will affect colleagues for years to come - if you cut corners to do it quick, they will be expected to as well....and then RM will add extra work to fill the gaps.

Ah I see, that's even worse.mrlovepantsuk wrote:we were told by our dom this morning it will be 5.4% now plus a £175 bonus and a further 1.5% in april i think
So since it's not backdated: 2.6% pay rise this year. 1.5% pay rise next year.
And £175 lump sum which isn't anywhere near as much as 5.4% backdated over six months would be.

I am in total agreement with this... I was only stating that RM encourages the rift between D.O.s and M.C.s. My manager upon reading out the new pay offer stipulated that it wouldn't effect us... this I do not believe and even if it was the case I would still support the rest of the workforce. Its easy to get drawn into this... how many times have you heard comments from some ignorant, selfish p***k such as: "Why should we do anything for D.O. or M.C. men, They done nothing for us!" It's petty and very destructive towards a united front. The good thing about this forum is it gives us all a chance to gain perspective from each section of RM. I am fortunate that I am still in contact with D.O. lads from my D.O. days. I always try to encourage support from both ends but sometimes my efforts seem useless.maximus wrote:Forget the divide and conquer/rule sh#t as the mail centres know that the strength is within the unity of the union!
What we don't want is regional pay discussions as this will lead to units going their own way!!
This will lead to the management working the breaking point s**t so they can use local negotiations for everything inc pay!!
