Wasn't there a recent employment tribunal where an employee had audio recordings of the disciplinary meetings, that despite objections, the judge said they were admissible?
I would really love to know if this is true.
Will have to check it.

I think you can record a meeting as long as you inform that you are doing so, as long as you say that on tape, it is admissible evidence. I wouldn't proceed a meeting without a recording as we all know on this site how capable DOMs and Linos are at lying, falsifying evidence and documents. you would only be covering your backs.

Too right , look what happened to Andrew !itchell MP The Police Federation were covertly recorded ,at a meeting, went outside and told a pack of lies. Never trust a copper,or a manager for this particular discussion forum.

Andrew Mitchell is an arrogant pr1ck and got hoisted on his own very expensive petard, there is a case for a little humble pie and had he said "yes I did say Pleb in the heat of the moment and I'm sorry" he would have been respected for it and would still be in a job and without spending a lot of money over it, the Police probably knew his form and covered themselves, some people cannot admit the truth and eat a little humble pie, they will lie and fabricate their way out it, some Mangers and Linos are no different, hence the need to record and cover yourself. your job/house/livelihood depends on it, in war the first casualty is truth therefore all is fair in war.

Never a truer word spoken, I am 100% with you on this one.
Now imagine a group of managers all discussing you in a language you don't understand.
Now mix that with the Asian ethic of never being wrong and always being right, the Asian ethic of losing or gaining face.
Never being able to admit you are wrong in public and doing everything you can to blame the other person.
Imagine what it would do you mind and you are halfway to imaginning the machinations at HWDC.
Best to just put your headphones on and ignore everyone, stick with your mates and mind your own business.
I spend my life trying to fit in but I always end up standing out.
