Robina (Bena) MacPherson was born on 21 January 1915 and was widowed just before her son Tom was born. Bena worked for a time in Richmond Park Laundry and the Post Office delivering mail. According to her friends, you always got a warm welcome when visiting and many received a wee dram although she didn’t partake in alcohol herself. As they said: "She was never one to mince her words so we all knew where we stood with her."
She is a gran to Fiona and Stewart, a great gran to Christopher and Hayley, a great-great gran to Leah, Nico and Rocco and an adopted gran to Aisla and Jack. Happy Birthday Bena!
