Re: Re-sign
Hi. Can anyone tell me if these guidelines still apply, or were they superseded in the 2012 agreement? Thanks in advance

Re: Re-sign
Thanks. But can they then be overridden by local agreement?

Only by a majority vote and even then it has to comply with the spirit of it.midvillain wrote:Thanks. But can they then be overridden by local agreement?
However, if the revision is a P&L one then considerations have to be made for operational reasons. For instance you can't have 2 non drivers in a CDV, the duty wouldn't get done.
A result of this can mean senior people becoming reserves and juniors getting duties - its not fair but people have to get involved in the Union side if they don't want to be done over.

Re: Re-sign
Cheers. We are in the middle of a resign which is not going well and many people aren't happy about it. I'm just wondering if things have been done correctly.

Re: Re-sign
.delivery revisions, which involve significant re-plotting of walks or significant restructuring of attendance patterns (e.g. full time/part time mix, five-day weeks, "longs and shorts" or nights plus a first delivery, where they are agreed)
One more question, please. With regard to major change, what does it mean in the above paragraph when it refers to "full time/part time mix"?

Re: Re-sign
After a re-sign does everyone in that process have to remain on that duty for 12 months ? If someone leaves or retires 3 months after, can anyone sign for that duty or only those that didn't get a duty in the resign ?

Re: Re-sign
No. After and before a resign the 12 month rule is void.timemax wrote:After a re-sign does everyone in that process have to remain on that duty for 12 months ? If someone leaves or retires 3 months after, can anyone sign for that duty or only those that didn't get a duty in the resign ?
The 12 month rule only applies to single duties.
No resign then the 12 month rule of not moving from a picked duty applies. But if you move within 12 months of a resign, either before or after, then it won't apply.
There is another rule that unaffected duties at a resign are not put into the pot at a repick unless the duty holder volunteers it, again in this situation the 12 month rule has no effect.

It can mean anything.
Duties being designated as Part Time and Full time either changing direction, or even the contract of the duty holder changing to having no bearing or not.
To explain at Huddersfield we have FT and PT duties, if you pick a certain duty then you get a FT or PT contract, as opposed to some offices that have no designated contract duties
It could also be the ratio of FT and PT contracts in the office, and even the number of different PT contracts there are.

Re: Re-sign
This sounds like the thread for me !
Hello all.
During the current post box strat revision( in our collections only unit ) They are changing the afternoon sweeps. We have two sweeps mainly. One in the morning as well.
Also losing 2 part time duties, may be 3.
All managers and lackies say ' No resign '
Is this correct ?
Many thanks.
