Hi there
I asked my manager how I can go about getting my name on the transfer list from RM to PF, He said to call HR, I call HR and the lady on the phone said speak to you're manager, so who do I have to chase to find out?..
I did get another lead today, Someone said talk to the resources guy at the dept, but I've never met him because I work late shift, I was thinking I would try write him a letter, But I still don't know who the go to guy or gal is who actually deals with it.
Thank you for you're time.

Re: Transfer
Will move this to the PF (sort of-I do need to make one for them) forum.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: Transfer
I transferred depots within pf 10 years ago and it went through the area HR manager for the pf depot I was going to. If its not their responsibility now he/she should at least be able to point you in the right direction without fobbing you off.

Re: Transfer
Had same experience last 12 months trying to go from PF to RM. Asked manager, manager said ask HR. Asked HR, HR said ask manager, Went to local depot, spoke to manager, manager said I need to speak to my manager. Gave up.

Re: Transfer
Find out where your local PF depot is and have a chat with the manager of that depot. From the threads that come up from time to time it seems like people have more luck when they contact the manager of the office that they hope to move to
