Job and finish

Post by postmanplod69 »

do people think that if in the new agreement that everyone has to go back to work when they finish that all these who come in before their offical start time would still do so?personally i think some still would    :d'oh! :d'oh!

They probably would but they would soon get the picture once they are made to take out bags of other walks who cut off. Then hopefully RM would get the message and get some more staff. 95% of the walks at my office easily last long enough though, provided we do the job properly. :arrrghhh

I don't understand them - some muppet was having a moan at me because I didn't come in an hour early like him, and so he "didn't get his misorts in time" . Bell end! I think he's getting the point of it now though.

So do I... Some people just can't help it... I think. They are the same tossers who push two yorkies or alts, carry, lift and tip overweight bags, run around like headless chickens if things look like they might be failing and insist on doing everything the wrong way. I've also noticed that when you do your job properly these dimwits seem to think you're bone idle and stupid. They love to moan about how hard they work and how unfair everything is! You can't tell them or help them. They obviously either live in fear of the Gaffa, have nothing else in their stupid little lives or love RM so much they genuinly think that they're doing good!
Remember, the way you do you job will affect colleagues for years to come - if you cut corners to do it quick, they will be expected to as well....and then RM will add extra work to fill the gaps.

It makes no sense why people like this even bothered striking. Theres quite a few walks in my office that have caught up everything from the strike days for no extra money. Ive got a ton of mail still on my frame and Im sure the manager will have words with me about it on Monday using the example of those that have cleared all the backlog.

I work in a mail centre. When we returned after our 4 days out we all congragated in our area to wait for our manager tells us what he wanted us to do. As he wasn't there we all waited, except for a few who insisted on setting up so we could get a good headstart on that backlog I suppose... f**king morons. As we all waited, it took about 10mins for people to actually start drifting to their work area ready to start working without comand. The best bit was as they all started to walk away the manager turned up and called them all back. He kept us there for about 30mins telling us how great the new offer is and how it won't affect us in the mail centres... as if! So really these tosspots showed themselves up by running of to their work area like good little employees, only to be told to return to the briefing area. I bet they wished they just hung on a few minutes more. Actually it probably hasn't even occurred to them what tossers they are. The most surprising thing to me was that, yes the people setting up I expected them to, but the ones who started to walk away to their work area are usually the ones with the biggest mouths who always complain and argue over docket, shifts and breaks etc...

I think that Health and Safety procedures may have been a little neglected, in the past. It's now time to dust off the regulations, read them thoroughly, and comply with them all. And in my office we now have trays of mail everywhere, an additional hazard, so we have to be very careful.

Hello
Approach the local rep again & ask for his help, say you are serious & want the phone number of the area rep if he will not help. If you can only reach the area union room, ask the person their name who you speak to.
You could also write a letter to the area union room.

They should be glad someone is keen to help.

had an arguement the other day with our dim..... we did only 10 mins ips and he opened the locker at 9am so people could get out early......thought they wanted us to work to our time so told him this defeated the whole of managements arguement...was told it was all about operational needs meaning he couldnt get people to do docket if they went out when they were meant to....and now people are starting to go in early again....will they never learn we now have to do the job properly to safeguard it

Unfortunately it seems every office has these people, we have a few one in particular comes in hours early so he can get into the pub. He has been told on many, many occasions - will only learn the hard way.
