sold down the river?

Post by buzzer »

Did you ever hear the story of the man who went into his boss asking for a 26% pay rise and came out with 10% less. I'm not saying i could do any better but i hope our union has better negotiating skills than this. From the rumors that are flying around it doesn't sound all that optimistic. I'm wondering how long it will be before we are all on minimum wage, and then we wont need the union any more.

without a union there would have been no discussions at all, everything RM wanted would have gone through months ago. Any pay increase over what was initially offered or any improvement on any part of the working conditons means having the union is worthwhile.
