Re: Sat 27th
all this cak about it being light, more people with chances to have a four day break because it will be light.....ha. garbage. we had a bulk posting from the water board. it was mailsort and addressed to ''the occupier''.....nothing that couldn't have waited, but I knew they'd have something to dig out for us, they always do. got finished at 20 past two. booked 45mins....they wont be doing it next crimbo though.....we,ve all got a 4 day break. unless of course they find some way of weaseling out of the extended bank holiday.

Busy on flats, packets not too bad, but double lapsing due to sickness.

this has been brought into question at ours....they attempt to put lapsing on in the whole office if even just one person goes sick?...go figure.woodpecker wrote:Busy on flats, packets not too bad, but double lapsing due to sickness.

Re: Sat 27th
Smashed with flats. Saga, holiday cats, CSMA and subscriptions mags. They showed some mercy and left some mailsort behind. Not often we don't clear.
Really cold all the way around with the odd flurry of snow but it did not settle.

Rows of houses all bearing down on me........I can feel their blue hands touching me.......All these things in all positions.........All these things will one day take control..........

York Mail Centre (incl. York Central & York West DOs) used to call them Yorkies.tansorboy wrote:York with a capital Y.interesting wrote:Packets were reasonable

Not unlike the differing names for P739s, which where "slip lefts" in York but are "shutters" where I work now.
