Hello.
I recently completed a month of nights at Llantrisant/Talbot green temporary sort centre on parcels as a christmas casual.
I'd like to go on the temporary pool whether it be in Swansea/Cardiff or elsewhere in South Wales. I keep reading this name 'Angard' in regard to this.
Who and what are they. I had my interview at Penarth road in Cardiff and as far as I'm aware dealt with royal mail direct.
Can I apply direct to RM or do I have to go through Angard?
Many thanks.

Re: JOINING RM POOL
Angard provide casual labour for RM. They're owned by RM, but operate separately.
Christmas casuals are recruited by RM directly, but Angard are responsible for year-round casuals.
Angard advertise on RM's website when they're recruiting for a particular mail centre.

Re: JOINING RM POOL
Thanks for that Aaron.
Have you had dealings with Angard?
These boards seem full of difficulties with them.
One thing especially bothers me. Would I be tied to Angard (however few shifts they gave which seems to be a recurrent problem) if I needed to go back in November to work as a christmas casual. Some posters see an obstruction. If god forbid nothing else comes along I would like to go back as a christmas casual.
