TRIBUTES pave been paid to a Plymouth postie and mum-of-one who was "always smiling".
Sarah Peters, 36, died suddenly from a suspected heart attack two weeks ago, leaving her family and colleagues in "complete shock".
Sarah, who was based at West Park Delivery Office and had been a postwoman for 17 years, leaves behind her devastated husband John and 18-month-old son Luke.
Fellow postmen and women created a guard of honour outside Weston Mill Crematorium yesterday and say they were "in bits" when they heard the news.
Gary Daw, who worked with Sarah, said: "She was always smiling and never had a bad word to say about anyone. Everyone loved her."
Gary said the guard of honour was a tribute to the amazing person Sarah was.
"It was so out of the blue – everyone was in bits," he said.
"We just did the guard of honour without much planning. She was so kind-hearted.
"We're thinking of having our own private memorial event at the delivery centre."
Floral tributes were left for Sarah at the crematorium.
One, signed from Andy, said: "God bless to a warm, friendly, bubbly lady who will be sadly missed by us all."
