Your DOM is talking through his arse, loaded to the gills with Amazon packets today again.
But what about after Xmas
Never died off in my area, if it wasn't for us the Amazon wouldn't have anything delivered here.

Plus RM have supposedly signed up with Amazon to sign for everything at the doorstep, doubt they would cancel that before it's even started (unless RM management f**ked up and couldn't deliver on that promise).

If I recall correctly, we are running a trial in certain areas where all Amazon parcels are scanned on delivery (rather than signed for).

Took a special delivery amazon packet to a girl yesterday and was asking her why she used special delivery when it's more expensive.

She said she phoned Amazon to complain about not receiving her order so they were paying for the delivery, she then said the original one arrived the same afternoon after she had phoned to complain so this one would be someone elses present!

Lots of courier companies in order to slash costs down to the bone, have taken to reducing T&Cs part time work, zero hours, sub contracting and owner drivers, in some cases like DHL make you pay for your uniform and I think charge you for using their vans, I believe DPD are not much better.

This disincentivised employees (slaves) to provide quality of service as the industry have cut down to the lowest denominator.

Royal Mail may not be perfect but at least we have defined standard that staffs can adhere to with a network to match.

I take it someone has told them our PDA's are useless and they are not likely to get scanned on delivery?

It's very difficult to avoid kicking doorstepped parcels all over the place, don't you think.

Amazon must be preparing their customers for when their drones will just drop parcels out the sky.

I often wonder what the householder thinks when they get home, assuming all the items left on the steps haven't been stolen, they open the door and we have left them a 739 card.
