One whole delivery (P&L) didnt even bother taking out the 50 or so oversized we had...
It will be waiting there in the morning for us to prep back in and attempt to deliver - not likely to finish more than one walk tomorrow either

as disheartening as it can be to feel like your failing, dont let it get you down, the deliveries are all too big for this volume of mail and there hasnt been anything really put in place to absorb it other than to ask people to stay out. Let the managers sort it out, its what theyre paid for.Jono wrote:One whole delivery (P&L) didnt even bother taking out the 50 or so oversized we had...

Very busy today and surprisingly
allowed to cut off with no hassle but I'll wait till Monday if they want to say anything to me. Took everything out with me and came back with 2 pouches and some oversize. Got back and some of my colleagues left half of their walk. Roll on Monday.

Re: The "how much did you cut today" thread
Left about 20 packets which went out on overtime. They paid 2 hrs for that.
Got finished dead on time but it was a struggle with a dying battery in the pda.

You gotta tell your lino what you will be doing/leaving. If you do everything by the book at acceptable pace he has to accept that. If it's still there for you next day, then you'll be leaving more, he'll get the message eventually. Don't be cocky about it, just say that you want to work your hours, no more no less. It's you right.ddtc wrote:whats cutting off? seems when I ask I bluntly get told no. But its alright for some of my other colleagues in the office. Same goes for leaving packets.

Well last Saturday I was allowed to cut off. Just the last 2 times before, for some reason the manager said no. But now like I said last Saturday I was allowed to, so I'll see what happens in the next couple of days if I need to cut off as it seems to be just the one manager that says no.rambo1 wrote:You gotta tell your lino what you will be doing/leaving. Some thing is badly wrong here.
You do not need to ASK a manager to cut off on your finish time you simply TELL them that your not prepared to work later than your paid hours. All overtime is
voluntary and not compulsory.
Where is your rep in this and who on earth told you that you have to ask to cut off.

Re: The "how much did you cut today" thread
Tell that to my office. My rep is of no use, he only looks out for himself. I've posted all this in another post in the union room anyway. Not bothered about it now as I know what to do know thanks to you guys.krussel wrote:

Re: The "how much did you cut today" thread
Still no packet drivers, first day of the week and we've already got a full cage of packets left next to the frame.
It's not the managers fault, they need extra staff but just haven't got any. Instead we've had staff taken away to do MC work.

Got to ask why?
