Provided your pay is not reduced you will get the same as if you had been working.

Re: Sick leave/xmas bonus
I went sick 9th December last year with a torn ligament in my knee which happened on duty and was off til April when I went back on light duties,
and after rehab building myself up was eventually back on full duties in July.
I was paid the xmas bonus but was reluctant to spend it, in case it was taken back at some point.
It never was and as we are now at the point when the next xmas bonus will be coming our way,
I think I can spend it now
yep it's still in my bank account just in case
hubby thinks I'm mad

Ergo if you are paid you get the Bonus. Failure to pay will be an Illegal deduction. The payment is not consolidated , neither is it reckonable for overtime , allowances , SA , nor pension purposes. It is liable for tax and National insurance.
Part time employees are entitled to the xmas supplement on a pro rata basis. They will receive the payment pro rata to a full time week according to their contracted hours on the date payment is made. Part time employees that vary their contractual hours and work full time for a two week period during the christmas pressure period will be paid the full christmas supplement.
Eligibility for payment is linked to employment during the christmas pressure period.
For each full week an individual receives no pay during the pressure period ( eg unpaid special leave etc ) the individual will lose one quarter of the supplement.
For each full week where basic pay is reduced for sick pay pension rate the individual will lose one quarter of the supplement.

Re: Sick leave/xmas bonus
Hi all, I've just posted a new thread about this (sorry didn't see this before I wrote it)
Hubby has just text me to say he's been told he won't get any bonus because he was off for a couple of days beginning of December (I hate Royal Mail and their sickness policies, would they rather you come in and throw up over everyone and pass your illness onto the rest of the office so everyone ends up being off gggrrrrr)
Anyway, I said I'd look up how true it was and have ended up on here after not finding much on google, am I right in saying that provided he was still on full pay then he still gets his bonus?
And that only if he was on a reduced rate of pay then it would reduce the amount you receive rather than meaning you don't receive anything at all

Same old s**t every f***ing lying year, you wankey managers!

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: Sick leave/xmas bonus
Ive had to have a few days off sick this week. The office mouthpiece was gloating, about me not getting the full bonus.I will show him my wage slip next week to put him right. This myth is perpetrated by managers and it is very successful. There are certain things that the CWU should make sure that the members understand. This is one, along with the fact that you really dont have to kill yourself by working over your time EVERY day, because the clowns in charge have made walks so unmanageable.Trouble is in my office some of the posties are worse than the managers for snooping and bitching about what others are doing! Whatever happened to solidarity within the workforce. In reality most dont want to go over their time, but when someone takes the plunge (like me
) and says they dont want to work over. They all start whinging about me getting "help" Its f***ing hilarious and sad at the same time.

Re: Sick leave/xmas bonus
Well we used to get a letter with our old payslips and the rebate-ment is at the end of January but only industrial action and reduced sick pay will incur rebate-ment of pay and only then the £100 pounds of the bonus so if you get paid your full wage you should not lose your or any of your Christmas bonus!
