Graeme Dey MSP and Mike Weir MP have visited Royal Mail’s Arbroath delivery office to pass on Christmas wishes and encouragement to postmen and women at their busiest time of year.

Mr Dey and Mr Weir were shown around the office by manager Ryan Taylor and were introduced to the postmen and women who are working hard sorting and delivering mail in the Arbroath area in the run-up to Christmas.

Mr Dey said: “It was great to meet postmen and women at Royal Mail’s Arbroath delivery office and be reminded of just how much effort they put into delivering for people, especially at this time of year.

Mike Weir added: “Our postal workers do such an important job all year round, especially during November and December when their workload increases markedly helping to deliver Christmas for many people and families in our area.”

Ryan Taylor commented: “Our postmen and women are working extremely hard to deliver Christmas cards, letters and parcels to people across Arbroath. We are grateful that Graeme Dey MSP and Mike Weir MP visited the office to see our operation and to support the team during our busiest time of year.”

The last recommend posting dates for Christmas are: Second Class – Thursday, December 18; First Class – Saturday, December 20; Special Delivery – Tuesday, December 23.
