Re: clueless Royal Mail
we have the red cross d2d's to, aswell as 5 others. its insane. the office is a health and safety hazard with these red cross begging letters. youd think a business like red cross would know better, they must obviously be ignorant to the volume of mail at this time of year...
royal mail are risking our physical well being by giving us to deliver these ontop of another 5 d2d's, aswell a huge increase of flats and letters, and also the staggering amount of packets and parcel. And as another poster said similiar, these begging letters take all the space up in the slot. i'll probably be spending Christmas in bed with a bad back. thanks red cross and royal mail

Best solution is to do all red cross first on Monday and then do the others on other days. It is a pain in the arse :(

On reflection then I suppose we are lucky on our office as there are never any walks left 'til next day. We work for a company of a work force of 150,000 surely there is someone somewhere who could help out.

Peterborough Utd, - Ferguson, sort it out. Kings Lynn - Setch - sort it out. Bend it like Beckham, the trouble is it's Victoria not David. Those who are not in the East of England and are not Peterborough Utd and Kings Lynn fans (which there are many) take this for what it is, a bit of banter, I work all week for you overpaid t>>ts to kick a ball into the back of a net, "Just do it".![]()

Tbh it's extremely rare in our office, but this week has been a nightmare and exposed the fact that we've been scraping by on hours for a while now. Not only were 3 walks still in when I got back, but the locker staff were a man down and told me they didn't have time to process a single redelivery today, so every single one has failed.Nigel1505 wrote:On reflection then I suppose we are lucky on our office as there are never any walks left 'til next day. Just been given our pressure weeks support. Been told that there will be one extra van available to support 6 |Sub \Offices. So one day per week we might get an extra van to cover 7 walks. If I were a manager I would be too embarrassed to even mention it.

No chance of this with a trolley. I had 9 boxed of Red X last week. Even taking out 2 columns adds 3 extra bags. Once in the frame your talking around 15 houses to a bundle before it becomes unstable.
Cleared the last on Sat and thought thank fook for that. Came back and found 8 boxes of something else stacked on the frame. Already have 4 normal contracts to go out as well. Soul destroying.
Rows of houses all bearing down on me........I can feel their blue hands touching me.......All these things in all positions.........All these things will one day take control..........

I don't know how some offices manage with the amount of D2D you get. We average 2 per week if that, if we got 5+ we'd be cutting off regularly because of them.krussel wrote:Darren Bent wrote:Best solution is to do all red cross first on Monday and then do the others on other days. Re: clueless Royal Mail
For a section of my frame with minimum width slots side by side I couldn't get any of the Red Cross D2Ds in. I had to treat them as packets - sorry, parcels.

Do RM not realise that this weekend is the last payslip for monthly paid before Christmas and we are going to be hammered with packets this week
