Jumping mail centers causes difference in pay rates?
I have recently shifted from the Chester mail center to Croydon mail center at London and was wondering if there is a difference in the pay rates there? Also do the break times differ from MC to MC? I did one shift (of 5 hours) recently at the Croydon center and the manager there said that they don't do breaks there!
Is this right?!

check directgov, 5 hours may not entitle you to a break

You will only be entitled a break if you work over 6 hours

That's surely wrong on the breaks. If you are AWR qualified, then you are entitled to the same breaks as Royal Mail staff, which is 20 mins on 4 hours, half hour on 5 hours.

Thanks guys. This is helpful. However, have got just 2 shifts in 3 weeks now. Probably, should just apply for a job at Angard - I guess they need more people to distribute shifts lol
