A reader from Churchdown has told me that the post box on the corner of Dancey Road and Cheltenham Road East now has a final daily collection of 09:00 from Monday to Friday and on a Saturday it's 0700, which means an alleged First Class letter posted after that time on a Saturday, gets into the system sometime on the following Monday. Let's hope those who were in favour of privatisation are impressed.Apparently, Royal Mail told him that; "changing collection times on 'low volume boxes' improves overall service" and "there is an alternative box nearby with a collection at 1600".Of course, it depends what you call 'nearby'. It's actually a one-mile round trip which is a tidy step for an elderly person. Using a car would add to the cost of posting, not to mention the environmental issue. Conspiracy theorists might say that imposing such an early collection time will further reduce the usage of this particular box, thereby giving Royal Mail the perfect excuse to remove it altogether. Of course, I would never say such a thing!

These stickers were put on cerain boxes back in August but still haven't been implemented

And the collection is FROM 9am, not AT 9am. Still why let the facts get in the way.
